The results are in and we had a decent Wednesday!!!! Some folks would look at 2 wins and two losses as “breaking even” and technically they would be correct. I look at it is finding two underdogs with value with the chalk not performing up to snuff!!! And we actually made a small profit yesterday because I got Oakland at +145. NICE!!!!!

The Brewers are looking for a sweep today and an opportunity to gain another game on the Cubs. The thing about swept series’ is that they don’t happen very often. Like 25.8 percent of the time this season and 52 percent of the time for home teams to complete a three game sweep. The Cubs have lost four of the past five Quintana road starts and have won seven of his 15 road starts this season. Quintana has allowed 13 earned runs over the past 21 innings pitched on the road and is 3-1 against the Brewers this season.  The Brewers have won three of the past five Chacin home starts and have won eight of his 11 home starts this season. Chacin has allowed 17 earned runs over the past 30 innings pitched at home with eight of those earned runs coming against the Cardinals on June 21. Over the past two weeks both teams are top five in offense and both bullpens rank in the top 15 with seven blown saves between them over that same period of time.

Since returning from a lengthy stay on the DL Sanchez has made two starts with the Jays winning both of them. Over his Toronto career Sanchez has won 52 percent of his starts. The Rays offense ranks #3 over the past 14 days whereas the Blue Jays rank #19. The Blue Jays rank #10 and the Rays at #20 against right handed pitching this season. Over the past two weeks the Rays bullpen ranks #5 and has saved all five of their opportunities with eight holds.
